@Ian, the back and forth on status was apparently due to a simple mistake on which distro version was affected. The good news is that thanks to comment #7, we now know that Kinetic is fixed which is one of the required step to do a SRU (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates) to have the fix land in Jammy.
