Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. We are sorry that we do not
always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely
manner.

Ubuntu 7.04 (feisty) reached end-of-life on October 19, 2008.

A sixteen year old bug report with few subsequent comments is of little
use to Ubuntu's developers in 2023 so I'm closing this as 'Invalid'.

If you're still using Ubuntu them please do continue to report any bugs
that you might find.

Title:
  vim crashed with sigsegv

Status in vim package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
Vim crashes on my feisty machine; it's reproducible at least twice. I
have a core file which shows this traceback:

    (gdb) bt
  #0 0xffffe410 in __kernel_vsyscall ()
  #1 0xb712c226 in kill () from /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6
  #2 0x08149da7 in may_core_dump () at os_unix.c:2900
  #3 0x0814be18 in mch_exit (r=1) at os_unix.c:2865
  #4 0x0810fa60 in preserve_exit () at misc1.c:8277
  #5 <signal handler called>
  #6 do_highlight (line=0x81f20dc "", forceit=0, init=1) at syntax.c:6752
  #7 0x0818f227 in init_highlight (both=1, reset=0) at syntax.c:6336
#8 0x080f9ec3 in main (argc=Cannot access memory at address 0x4
  ) at main.c:546

I don't know what changed to break this, it was working a moment ago
  and I didn't upgrade it.
