This bug has been plaguing me since 1.5.29 release, making my french keyboard
difficult to use because of some accented keys not working at all anymore:

ibus has been updated to 1.5.30 (which has the bugfix) in Debian 4 months ago:
https://salsa.debian.org/debian/ibus
I would love to see it reach Ubuntu Noble.
