I'm not seeing any evidence of Xorg being used since at least 8 November
here. And the bug itself says Wayland was in use at the time the bug was
created. Are you sure you were using Xorg?
Regardless, next time the problem happens, please run:
journalctl -b0 > journal.txt
Or if you had to reboot first then run:
journalctl -b-1 > prevjournal.txt
and attach the resulting text file here.

Title:
Xorg freeze
Status in xorg-server package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
may be it's x-org, may as well be kernel/nvidia. It happened after
switch from usb-c display port to the laptop screen. Not directly, but
after a video call. My device has 4k touch screen.
Screen went non-responding and after login on tty3 (ctrl-alt-F3) I was
able to reboot the system, but the system didn“t shut down correctly.
while shutting down I saw BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference,
address (lots of zero's...)008c0
Connecting to and from DPlink dock normally works okay. Most
programs/windows work as expected, except nautilus. I always need to
kill and restart that program.
Hope this helps, if more info is needed: no problem.
BTW: BIOS is set to hybrid mode
