** Description changed: There are two audio output sources on my laptop, one is the internal speakers and the second is via the DisplayPort. At random intervals during the day KDE / Plasma will start switching rapidly between the two, it was particularly apparent today and went on for some minutes. Both sets of speakers seem to test ok, audio out of all 4 speakers. When viewed in the Audio section of System Settings the two audio outputs can be seen rapidly flicking between the two. As always, happy to collect any more information ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 24.04 Package: plasma-desktop 4:5.27.12-0ubuntu0.1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 6.11.0-28.28~24.04.1-generic 6.11.11 Uname: Linux 6.11.0-28-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia_modeset nvidia ApportVersion: 2.30.0-0ubuntu4.4 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: pass CurrentDesktop: KDE Date: Thu Aug 28 10:27:50 2025 InstallationDate: Installed on 2024-12-13 (258 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS "Jammy Jellyfish" - Release amd64 (20240911) SourcePackage: plasma-desktop UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to noble on 2024-12-16 (255 days ago) + --- + ProblemType: Bug + ApportVersion: 2.30.0-0ubuntu4.4 + Architecture: amd64 + AudioDevicesInUse: + USER PID ACCESS COMMAND + /dev/snd/controlC2: owen 4422 F.... wireplumber + /dev/snd/controlC0: owen 4422 F.... wireplumber + /dev/snd/controlC1: owen 4422 F.... wireplumber + /dev/snd/seq: owen 4418 F.... pipewire + CasperMD5CheckResult: pass + CurrentDesktop: KDE + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 24.04 + InstallationDate: Installed on 2024-12-13 (259 days ago) + InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS "Jammy Jellyfish" - Release amd64 (20240911) + MachineType: Dell Inc.
