Public bug reported:

Current release: Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS
Basefiles version is:
    Installed: 13ubuntu10.3
    Candidate: 13.6ubuntu2

Thread about this bug here: https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/may-have-
found-a-upgrade-issue/58642. According to someone in that thread,
upgrading from 24.04 to 25.04 should be supported now.

When I tried to upgrade to Ubuntu 25.04, it gave me some installation errors.
Running apt-get upgrade returns:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 dbus : Depends: base-files (>= 13.4~)
 libc6 : Breaks: base-files (< 13.3~)
         Breaks: base-files:i386 (< 13.3~)
 libc6:i386 : Breaks: base-files (< 13.3~)
              Breaks: base-files:i386 (< 13.3~)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Running apt --fix-broken install returns:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Preparing to unpack .../base-files_13.6ubuntu2_amd64.deb ...

*
* The base-files package cannot be installed because
* /lib32 is a dangling symbolic link.
*
* This is an unexpected situation. Cannot proceed with the upgrade.

Errors were encountered while processing:
 /var/cache/apt/archives/base-files_13.6ubuntu2_amd64.deb

What I expected to happen: apt-get upgrade runs without errors.
What happened instead: The above error.
