Hello Jonathan, or anyone else affected, Accepted libxext into utopic-proposed. The package will build now and be available at http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libxext/2:1.3.2-1ubuntu0.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.
