Title: apport-unpack requires too much main memory to run Status in apport package in Ubuntu: In Progress Bug description: when running apport-unpack on large apport reports (linux-image kernel dumps is a good example), it requires an enormous amount of main memory to run. An example is a 1.3Gb apport report that runs for more than 24 hours with more than 4Gb of RSS. The command should requires less memory to extract those big reports.
