  Cpu usage near 30% when conversation view is open

Bug description:
  Steps to reproduce:

  1) Receive a message
  2) Open conversation view to see that message
  3) run top on a terminal

  Expected behavior:
  messaging-app should not consume any cpu after initial rendering

  Current behavior
  Constant cpu usage near 30% if there are received messages. Not reproducible 
if there are only sent messages.
