You have been subscribed to a public bug: Hello, it would be neat if the Ericsson H5321gw 3G/GPS/HSPA+ card worked out-of-the-box in Ubuntu? As of today with 14.04.2 one has to:
a. "options cdc_ncm prefer_mbim=N" in some /etc/modprobe.d/*.conf (which would be nice to avoid I guess, but is well documented and found easily with a quick Google search for "linux H5321gw" hitting e.g. on https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Lenovo_ThinkPad_X1_Carbon#WWAN_.28Mobile_broadband.29 b. sudo cp /lib/udev/rules.d/77-mm-ericsson-mbm.rules /etc/udev/rules.d/; sudo nano /etc/udev/rules.d/77-mm-ericsson-mbm.rules and add ATTRS{idVendor}=="0bdb", ATTRS{idProduct}=="193e", ENV{ID_MM_ERICSSON_MBM}="1 - which is harder to find as of today - perhaps this could be added to a default udev rule (however that works, I'm just a noob re. udev). http://blog2.vorburger.ch/2015/03/fixed-linux-ericsson-h5321gw- 3ggpshspa.html ** Affects: modemmanager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Ericsson H5321gw new idVendor/idProduct should be in udev rule by default https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1427896 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to modemmanager in Ubuntu. -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
