apport produces corrupt crash reports

Bug description:
Binary package hint: apport
I am continuosly (more than once a day) getting crash reports for xorg
by apport (exclamation mark in gnome panel). However when trying to
create and send the report I get a message about some "I/O error" or
checksum failure and sending aborts.
Here such a crippled crash report from /var/crash as attachment by
