Title: ciphering indicator Status in telephony-service package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: The corresponding bug in android is unfixed since 2009. In short: when the phone call is unencrypted this fact should be clearly displayed to user according to GSM 02.07 spec. But, sim issuer could hide that insecurity from user according to GSM 11.11 spec. Yet another but - according to ETSI TS 122.101 #14 the phone OS can have configuration option for user to override this security flaw, introduced by sim issuer. Hence, mer should provide clear and easy to use api/tool to implement configurable ciphering indicator to comply with ETSI TS 122.101 spec.
