I don't think this is a duplicate. Now jsoncpp seems to have a proper versioning.
bug 1464853 it had a symbols file, now it has been removed in flavour to shlibs, since upstream strictly follows versioning rules and checks now. Quoting the lintian-overrides file: # This is a C++ project, we use .shlibs instead # API/ABI compatiblity is watched tediously upstream. # Report: http://upstream.rosalinux.ru/versions/jsoncpp.html no-symbols-control-file ** This bug is no longer a duplicate of bug 1218220 [MIR] libjsoncpp -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to libjsoncpp in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1461517 Title: [MIR] libjsoncpp Status in libjsoncpp package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Rationale: this package is needed for cmake >= 3.2.2-2ubuntu1 the problem about versioning (LP: #1218220) seems to be fixed upstream, IIRC https://github.com/open-source-parsers/jsoncpp/issues/147 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libjsoncpp/+bug/1461517/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
