Title:
[NFORCE - NVidia nForce2] ALSA test tone not correctly played back

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  New
Status in alsa-driver source package in Lucid:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
Sound has stopped working after applying updates on an Ubuntu 10.4.1
  LTS system.

I expect sound not to stop working after applying these updates or at
least that there is a way to make it work again. No changes that I
apply to sound preferences make any difference. I also don't know if
this is an issue with alsa-driver (unlikely) or pulseaudio.
