"But if I press the power button before 10 minutes it should not lock the screen. This is how iphone works."
This is not true of iOS. If I set auto lock to 'never' and then press the power button then the phone does lock. I agree with Iain "I personally like the phone locking straight away when I press the power button." There should be a quick and easy way to lock your screen, should you not wish to wait 10 minutes (or whatever has been set) and the power button is a good way to do this. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to unity-system-compositor in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1384814 Title: [System Settings] lock screen not honoring timeout setting from system-settings Status in Ubuntu UX: Triaged Status in Unity System Compositor: New Status in unity-system-compositor package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: In Security and Settings I set the Lock Phone time to 10 minutes. The phone will correctly lock after 10 minutes. But if I press the power button before 10 minutes it should not lock the screen. This is how iphone works. Pressing the power button should not automatically lock the phone unless the timeout set in system settings has been triggered, or if it's set to immediately To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-ux/+bug/1384814/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages Post to : touch-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
