What method would you suggest for getting a stack trace from the installer environment? There does not appear to be a gdb udeb: http://packages.ubuntu.com/source/trusty/gdb.

I would expect installation would continue successfully (since the medium I'm installing off of should be autodetected, if it gets there), or at least not segfault.
