> Does closing the browser app and opening it again fix the issue by any chance?
Closing and reopening the browser resulted in correctly displayed text. I can't
reproduce the bug too.

> Are other applications affected?
As fare as I could see not. I quickly checked it when encountering the bug, but
couldn't find anything looking weird outside the browser.

If I have to problem again I'll take a screenshot.

Title:
corrupt text in the url bar & hamburger menu

Status in webbrowser-app package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Phone: Meizu (OTA 6)
webbrowser-app: I don't know how to display the version, but there is no
update available -> should be up-to-date
  OS Language: Deutsch (Deutschland)

  Problem:
The text inside the url bar and the hamburger menu of the webbrowser-app is
unreadable. Instead of characters, little boxes are displayed with an proximate
hight and width of the character. In the hamburger menu for some entries the
first character of a word are displayed correctly, but the remaining characters
are displayed as little boxes.

  Rough visual of the problem:
Instead of 'Cat' the text looks like: ▐ ▄▌
