Yes the touch can send music to a USB DAC, and it does support 24/96 and
asynchronous mode, so it should work well with a QB-9. (I don't have a
QB-9 to actually try it out, but I have tried other async USB DACs).

There is one gotcha, it doesn't do it out of the box. The player
software doesn't know the USB DAC exits. In order to get music to it you
have to modify the alsa configuration to tell the player software to
send the stream there. This can be done manually (SSH into the touch and
create a file).

I'm working an an applet that will let you choose which output devices
you want to send music to. Hopefully it will be done by the time you can
actually get a touch.

Shameless plug: If you really want to be sure the QB-9 will work with
the touch I'll be glad to try it out if you loaned it to me for a week
or so!
