I am looking into getting the touch in order to get rid of my Ubuntu PC
running squeezebox server and connect my USB disk with my 20 000 FLACS
directly to the touch. This will be combined to share music with my
existing network of duet and boombox.

Now from what I am gathering the touch runs a scaled down version of
squeezebox server, and I will loose web interface capability to control
and play music from my PSs. But what else will I loose? plugins?? Also
as an example the only way I can set my synchronized players to have
synchronized volume is through the web interface ¨settings¨ will I still
have this capability?

On the performance side will I get a noticeably slower performance when
browsing through artists and albums, than when using a dedicated pc

Cheers
