That's what I thought.  But here's the readout from the controller
under More Info for the Apple Lossless file of the Beatles' "Something"
RM:  

"File Format: QuickTime Movie" (don't get this either, but that's how
the AL files are always  listed)
"Bitrate: 827 kbps VBR (Converted to 705.6 kbps ABR)"

Any ideas?
