Thanks NewBuyer for your alternative tip. It's good to see that there are other choices with standby mode available. I certainly wouldn't have found these without the help of everyone's posts here.
Also, thanks sawdin for your suggestion. I checked their website but couldn't see anything about the speakers going into standby automatically.
