It depends on what you're talking about. Do you mean using the
built-in Squeezebox server or using a Squeezebox Server running
elsewhere? And do you mean the title formats shown on the Touch or on
other players?

Using the built-in server you can still set different title formats for
other players such as the SB3, but you're stuck with the predefined
formats and can't create custom formats. The formats have to be set
from the players' remote interface since the built-in server has no web
interface.

The custom title formats have no real use in the Now Playing screens on
the Touch itself, as the main NP screens all display track title, artist
and album, with no ability to customize it. The 'artwork+text' and
'text only' NP screens look a lot like the Now Playing area in the
default web skin, with TITLE, ARTIST and ALBUM displayed on three
lines.

The most limited are the title formats shown on the Touch when using
the built-in server. You get TITLE and nothing else, not even track
numbers, when looking at the track list of an album. In the Current
Playlist you see TITLE on one line, then ARTIST - ALBUM on a second
line and it's not configurable.

A couple of things may be customizable if you enable remote logins,
then use an SSH client to SSH into the operating system and edit the
server preferences file. I expect many people will want to do this and
expect it to be pretty painful for anyone attempting to walk them
through it.
