I suspect you will need to look at this if you want to handle classical
music with the current standard software:

I suspect it's because the "Composer, Band and Orchestra in Artists"
option has a bad default value on the built-in server.

It has been discussed that it should be fairly simple to create a third
party applet that makes it possible to change these settings in the
built-in server. I suspect someone will make this applet soon, it's
just a matter of time until some of the people with development skill
gets frustrated enough.

Until then, you can always enable "Remote Login" and login with ssh
(for example by installing putty.exe on Windows) and modify the
server.prefs file manually. The server.prefs file for the built-in
server is stored here:
/etc/squeezecenter/prefs/server.prefs

I think you will just have to change "composerInArtists: 0" to
"composerInArtists: 1"

As mentioned above, including composers in the standard Artists menu
should just be a matter of changing some settings.

Creating a separate "Composers" menu should also be fairly simple and
the same would also be the case for "Conductors". A "Works" menu will
be a little bit harder because it requires changes in the database.

The good news is that the built-in server is possible to patch, so
third party developers can make a patch that can be easily installed
through the "Patch Installer" applet (available in my testing
repository). I don't want to go this route yet though, I'd first like
to see which direction Logitech is going to choose after they have
managed to get the Touch out on the market and had some time to decide
on a strategy for the future.
