You could try the following:

1. Make a backup copy of your prefs directory. That will include
server.prefs, plus any prefs settings for plugins.

1a (optional). Make a list of all of your settings. A semi-convenient
way to do this is by taking screenshots of the SBS settings pages with
your existing settings.

2. Install the new Squeezebox Server. If you are coming from 7.3.3 it
probably will overwrite your preferences. (It shouldn't do that if you
are coming from 7.4.2, but then a lot of people had their 7.3.3
overwritten by 7.4.2, so you're neither ahead of the game or behind.)

3. Check to see if your preferences were overwritten. If not, then
you're done.

4. If your settings were overwritten, stop SBS. This is important. Then
overwrite the new prefs files with your the backup you made in Step 1.

5. Restart SBS and see if your settings are familiar. If so, you're
done.

6. If your old settings aren't restored, then you'll have to reset them
manually. This could be easier if you did the optional step 1a above.

Note that if steps 1-5 seem to be too much trouble, you can always do
only steps 2, 3, and 6 instead ;o)

One other important change to note is that in 7.3.3 the program was
called squeezecenter and ran under the username 'squeezecenter'. In
7.4.x and 7.5.x it is called squeezeboxserver and runs under the
username 'squeezeboxserver'. I expect that sstos will take care of
these things for you, but thought I'd give a heads up just in case.
