Same problem here...I can't get multiple players to sync with my Touch for extended periods of time either. I am trying to sync the Touch with two SB3s and one Boom. Even if can get all of the players to sync together, the touch usually stops playing after a few minutes and I do believe it happens just before a new song is about to begin.
