I have just under 30,000 files. The hard drive is a Western Digital Elements 1TB and this is happening even when I am not trying to sync players and just running the touch by itself. I'll try your suggestions, but I don't believe I am sharing the drive and I am only using the default now playing screen. I'll double check though.
