That's good. Shielded is difficult to get right (and unnecessary anyway). Do you have your headphones plugged directly into the Touch? are you using a USB drive connected to the Touch as well? is the hum also present on the RCA analogue outputs? -- Phil Leigh You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal...
