To repeat my other post on the subject. The Transporter has balanced
analog outs. If you will be using these, the TP is the obvious choice.
Now that that is out of the way on to the RCA analog outs. Both in
measured and for my taste (IE my listening) the Transporter still has
an edge here. Is it worth $1500 for the TP, that is very hard to say.
For me it would depend on the rest of ones equipment.

If one is going to be feeding a decent DAC, I say buy the Touch and use
it as a digital transport. Again from what I measured and my listen
tastes the TP is still better then the Touch even feeding a DAC, but
one really has to have great equipment to get ones $1500 out of using
the TP as a digital transport only.

So for me it is not and will not just be a simple straight answer
except when one needs Balanced Analog outs. In all other cases it
depends on ones other components and how much one really has to spend
on a digital transport.

So as just a transport, in most cases just buy a Touch.
