It is always "recomended practice" to wire the server to the router. Then it gives that if the Touch *IS* the server then wire the Touch, for best stability/performance.
This is probably also behind the "recomended two player limit" . You get double wifi hops from server to router from router to player. so you use up twice the wifi capacity needed per player. This can absolutely work in a small installation with mp3 files. But it would give -any- server problem in a larger scale (more players) with lossless and hirez files . -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J and assorted amps SiriuS, Classe'Primare and Dynadio speakers (including a pair of Contour 4 ) Bedroom/Office: Boom Kitchen: SB3 + powered Fostex PM0.4 Miscellaneous use: Radio (with battery) I use a Controller various ir-remotes and a Eee-PC with squeezeplay to control this ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mnyb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4143 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=78199 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
