It is always "recomended practice" to wire the server to the router.
Then it gives that if the Touch *IS* the server then wire the Touch,
for best stability/performance.

This is probably also behind the "recomended two player limit" .

You get double wifi hops from server to router from router to player.
so you use up twice the wifi capacity needed per player.

This can absolutely work in a small installation with mp3 files.

But it would give -any- server problem in a larger scale (more 
players) with lossless and hirez files .
