You can even do weird things like have the contoller control the player
in the Touch while the screen on the Touch is controlling another
player!

The Controller even has a player builtin (which drives the headphone
jack), at one point just to see if it would work I had the Controller
controlling the Touch player and the Touch screen controlling the
Controller player! It worked. 

Logically you can think of the Touch as having three pieces, a
controller, a player, and a server. In "normal" use these are connected
together but they don't HAVE to be. Any or all of these can be
disconnected from each other and used across the network with other
squeeze devices in pretty much any configuration you want.
