I would say that the benefit of a faster card is limited in this
context.

Of cause faster is always nice; the only place I know it really counts
is when used in a SLR.
When shooting a series of pictures the write speed can slow one down.
But for us normal users that stores fotos as jpeg instead of RW and
don't do 20 fotos/second of a bird feeding on a flower... not so big an
issue.
