Hi,

1.
I´ve 2 external Hard Drives, both 3,5", 1GB, with external power
supply. One, an iomega prestige caused really a lot of trouble, I was
not able to use the Touch USB connection for more than 1 or two changes
of artist, album a.s.o.. The Squeezebox Server always lost connection.

2. With my Western Digital, it worked much better right from the start,
but again, sometimes the server stopped.

3. I did some -try and error- actions
- moved all music into one master music folder (of course with
subfolders by artist/album). I guess this speeded up the initial search
and also the change song time
- restricted song names to the 64 digits restriction (ISO code) - no
clue if this was necessary, but with mp3tag it´s easy to do, so I did.

I guess the main criteria is to get the right Hard Drive, maybe
Logitech someday will give us the necessary information on the drive
specs...
