I routinely have my PC (running Squeezebox Server) hibernated, stood by or shutdown overnight.
When I powered up the Touch the day after I received it, without yet having powered up the PC, that's when I noticed the screen power button had no effect - i.e. it doesn't go into the OFF screensaver. When the PC was started later on, the OFF screensaver started working again.
