Yes, you can simply select to play that folder (be it artist or album). Tagging is the time consuming part (which you seem interested in doing in the following posts). Batch converting from WAV to FLAC (just an example) is much easier and much less time consuming. You just let it run over night and viola, all new FLAC files. Start tagging a few files & folders, once you get the hang of it it goes rather quickly. There are settings in MP3Tag to take your folder names and auto convert them to tags.
