There is one thing to watch if you hook the analog outs of any
Squeezebox player directly to a power amp. There is a chance the
digital volume control accidentally could go to 100% due to either
human or software error. If the output of the player is much greater
than the input sensitivity of the amp you could end up playing much
louder than is good for the speakers. 

I recommend that you experiment a bit to see if this is the case for
you. If so, add an input attenuator to the amp so that 100% volume out
on the Squeezebox is about the loudest you ever listen. I did this by
building my own interconnects with passive resistors in line but there
are a number of commercial products available that will do the same
thing. If you want to keep things variable, a passive volume control is
also an option.
