There is one thing to watch if you hook the analog outs of any Squeezebox player directly to a power amp. There is a chance the digital volume control accidentally could go to 100% due to either human or software error. If the output of the player is much greater than the input sensitivity of the amp you could end up playing much louder than is good for the speakers.
I recommend that you experiment a bit to see if this is the case for you. If so, add an input attenuator to the amp so that 100% volume out on the Squeezebox is about the loudest you ever listen. I did this by building my own interconnects with passive resistors in line but there are a number of commercial products available that will do the same thing. If you want to keep things variable, a passive volume control is also an option. -- mlsstl ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mlsstl's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9598 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77649 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
