I'm sure the cheap adapter can't be doing you any favors. I originally had the touch connected with optical. I can't tell any difference, but I know that S/PDIF over coax seems more forgiving of the cable. By that I mean, based on reading only, it seems that one can have troublesome issues with the optical cable itself. Again, mine was fine with optical, and from a sound point of view I hear no difference. But I didn't try to formally ABX any differences. p.s. For a Benchmark DAC-I, I use for other purposes (NOT connected with my TOUCH or Transporter), I also connect on the input side via coax. Although that does have a proper 75ohm BNC connector. -- garym ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80152 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
