hmmm, doesn't sound like it is doing the clear&rescan. I assume you're using the tinySbS built into the touch rather than running SbS on a separate computer? At this point, I might do a factory reset on the Touch and then after it resets/reboots, I'd plug in the USB drive and let it add all the music. Be sure to let it fully run.
