I am having a standalone Squeezebox Server (a Dell Optiplex GX270 running Windows XP) and an external drive plugged into the Touch, both of which have exactly the same files.
Recently I've noticed a weird thing when my Touch sorted artists from the external drive. When I browsed to My Music/Artists, seven albums of single artists were, oddly enough, grouped under Various Artists, and this group stood on the very top of the Artist list, above 1 and A (on the standalone server these album were sorted correctly according to the initial letters of the respective artists). At the same time, there was another Various Artists group (the right one) standing at the bottom of the list (U, V, W) consisting compilation albums.
