A CD can be up to about 700 MB in size uncompressed, but almost all
will be smaller.  FLAC tends get around 40-50% compression on average. 
Both figures will depend on the makeup of your library.  Reissues of old
albums tend to be smaller, live shows and classical recordings tend to
be larger and different types of music compress to different degrees.

My library averages about 315 MB per CD in FLAC.  A 1 TB hard drive
actually gives you about 931 GB (binary) of storage, so I can expect to
get about

931 / 0.315 = 2,955 CDs
