- The ReplayGain tags have to be read by the server and stored in the music library database. - The ReplayGain values have to be applied by the player. You can't disable or otherwise avoid #1. If the tags are present then they're read. But #2 can be disabled and *is disabled by default* for all Squeezeboxes.
