I replaced SB3 with Touch a few days ago. I was really happy with SB3 SQ, but bought Touch due to high res. capability and capability to read off of USB drive. I'm using digital out(optical) from Touch to my receiver hk247(same config as SB3). I did perceive noticeable upgrade in SQ with Touch. Is this placebo effect or is there a good explanation for this. I assume that both SB3 and Touch buffer the data before sending it to the receiver, so jitter should not be an issue here. Can someone educate me if there is a difference between these devices as a transport?
