OTOH, thirth party Classic PSs sometimes offer more power then the standard PS. I had a squeezepack (a far too expensive Russ Andrews PS for the Classic)and when I switched to a Touch I kept that PS connected. It worked with an USB powered HD rather good (though the sound was clearly less good then with a wireless server). Then I tried the standard PS of the Touch, and the Touch would not work with the HD anymore. Conclusion: the squeezepack supplied more power then the standaard PS.
