hi erland, i know you are correct in saying i shouldnt mess with my tags.the problem i have is that i am hell bent on having the track number in front of the title.i have altered a couple of albums to see how it works and i am happier with track number included. i am using a qnap running squeezeserver on it with my music stored on it.i bought a external hard drive to back up all my music.when i add 5 albums i connect the hard drive to my computer and ammend the back up.at the moment it is a carbon copy of the qnap which has the tags to suit my sb3.what i thought about doing was buying another backup disk,altering my tags then copying the tagged music to suit my touch.so in effec i will have the best of both worlds.whats your thoughts.thanks,regards scott
