I added a Touch to my system about six months ago. I already had a SB3,
a Radio and a Duet setup. The Touch set up easily and connected to my
Squeezebox Server without problem. It simply appeared as a fourth unit.
The Duet Controller also controlled the Touch as easily as it works with
all the other players.

I ended up selling my Receiver (kept the Controller) and didn't have to
do anything special to take it out of the system. The buyer had to do a
reset to factory settings so he could connect it to his wireless
network, but that is a simple process.

As a network media player, the Touch is wonderful. The only deficiency
has been for those who wish to do away with an external server and use
the built-in tiny SBS. That works fine for some but has been
problematic for others. However, things should be fine for anyone that
uses an external server.
