There is not "-c0" in the command line you have shown but there is a
-C0 - have you mistyped ?

I don't know. Have you read the Sox documentation ? (all part of a
beginner learning) ?.  It is unusual for an application to delete the
input file unless requested - so again it looks like the command you
pasted is not the command you entered at the command prompt - it
couldbe a subtle difference such as a space or backslash. 
Can you copy (using Select,cut & paste from command prompt menu) all
the command and response from the command prompt window and paste into
your reply.

I don't know as I have not tried it. Have you looked at Phil's
suggestion as he has it working ?
