PCM is the data format used in files like .WAV .AIFF and can refer to a
number of file types. Although I haven't tried myself the touch is
supposed to be able to play 24/96. The Logitech spec page gives a list
of file extensions the touch will play. But what ever it is you
download you should be able to convert it to something the touch will
play fairly easily.

You may want to convert to flac once you've downloaded them so you can
add tags, save disk space, network traffic etc as there is no audio
quality loss.
