I was thinking more in terms of how they show up in browsing by artist, etc. For example,if you have a best of the 70s CD, do you want each song by a different artist to show up as a separate album? That sort of thing. The short version (search for many threads on this) is that you are probably best served by setting the Compilations tag to "1" for compilations as well as entering a value for the Album Artist tag (= Various Artists). Keep in mind that if even a single track on an album has a second artist tag, the album will be treated as a compilation album even if COMPILATION does not equal 1. Anyhow, you'll figure this out as you begin to rip more cds and play with it a bit more. p.s. I'd never delete stuff that I ripped off the CD. I'd want it to exist. If I didn't want to actually hear some of it, I'd make myself a playlist with only the part I wanted, or give the tracks I'd like to skip a custom genre (i.e., SKIP) and use one of erland's various plugins to always skip those songs. -- garym ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=83244 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
