Do any of you have a speed problem using a NAS to run your Squeezebox
server software when rescanning etc?

I initially put SB server on my Synology DS 207+ and if worked fine but
seemed a little slow when clearing and rescanning etc. I installed the
Windows version SB server on my vista machine and all I can say is WOW
the difference is astounding. I guess because my vista box has 4G of
RAM and a high powered CPU it runs circles around my exteranl NAS as
the CPU and memory in the NAS was really built for storing, retrieving
and backing up files.

I was wondering if you are happy with the NAS performance and have you
compared it to a regular windows computer with fast CPU and a lot of
ram.
