If you are using the remote you get the controller style list to use with the arrows . Or it jumps right to the letters if you use the aplhanumeric keys on th ir-remote.
If you are using the Touch screen you get the pop up keyboard . But you can get this situation if you chose the large text-skin as Touch skin ? This skin is really developed for the remote so it's seems to lack some features when used as touch skin. For example no pop-up keyboard. wich fw version is your Touch. Btw you are running an old 7.6 beta ?
