Thanks, Phil. No, my startup delay was set to 0. As I understood it this concerns mp3 decoding. But now I set it to 1 like you and there's no more rebuffering even at 24/96. Some minutes ago I installed 7.6.0 - r31795. Therefore I don't know if this update fixed the problem or if it was the audio startup delay. Anyhow the problem is solved and I'm very happy about it.
